Louisville Football gets commit number six this week

ShaDon Brown lands another commitment

NCAA Football: Kentucky at Louisville Jamie Rhodes-USA TODAY Sports

For the sixth time in the last five days, the Louisville Football staff got good news from a recruit. Timothy Lawson made his pledge today choosing Louisville over N.C. State and UNC. The three star offensive tackle also has offers from UK, Virginia, West Virginia, and Rutgers.

ShaDon Brown took a trip to Maryland and offered Lawson back in April and after taking his official visits, Lawson decided to become the third offensive line addition to the class. He joins Kobe Baynes and Austin Collins.

Lawson has great frame at 6-5/278 and he uses his length very well as a blocker. I am really impressed with his technique as a pass blocker. He has good feet and balance (although he’s not going up against high level pass rushers). Lawson can also drive people down the field as a run blocker. Per usual, he also shows good athleticism and the ability to block outside the box.

Louisville is hoping to get a commitment from Luke Kandra out of Ohio soon. If they can land him, they could be done with the offensive line in this class before July. As I said yesterday, this could allow them to pour all of their resources into a handful of key targets.
