The 8th-ranked Louisville baseball team notched its sixth straight win over rival Kentucky with an 8-3 thrashing of the Wildcats Tuesday night. The win was U of L’s 8th straight over UK at Jim Patterson Stadium.
Jake Snider was the hitting star for the Cards, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two of those coming on a bases loaded single in the fourth inning.

Catcher Zeke Pinkham and center fielder Drew Campbell also drove in runs and produced multi-hit games for the Cards.
Four U of L pitchers combined to limit Kentucky to three runs on six hits. Adam Elliott (2-1) earned the win after coming out of the bullpen to work two scoreless innings.
Louisville now hits the road for a weekend series at Atlantic Division rival Clemson. Both teams are currently 9-3 in the ACC standings. First pitch for Friday’s game is scheduled for 6 p.m.
