The weather wreaked havoc on the scheduled Thursday-Friday-Saturday series, the Louisville baseball team was able to pull out two wins in three games over visiting Miami this weekend.
The Cards topped the Hurricanes 7-5 on Thursday, fell 16-11 in a game that began on Friday and had to be finished on Saturday, and then came from down 6-0 to pull off a 9-6 series-clinching win in the second game on Saturday.
With the series win — Louisville’s 36th in 47 tries as a member of the ACC — the Cardinals maintain the best overall record in the conference and lead the Atlantic Division by a full two games.

The Cardinals hit the road for a game with old conference rival Cincinnati on Tuesday night (6 p.m.). They’ll be back at Jim Patterson for a non-conference series against Alabama A&M that will begin Friday night at 6.
