Durr becomes the second-highest draft pick in the history of U of L women’s basketball. Ten years ago, Angel McCoughtry (Louisville’s all-time leading scorer) was taken first overall.
The Liberty finished last season 7-27 overall, the second-worst record in the WNBA.
Ultimately, all three Louisville seniors heard their names called in the draft. Arica Carter was selected 32nd overall by the Phoenix Mercury, and Sam Fuehring went two picks later to the Washington Mystics.
