I suppose there could still be a little bit of movement based on the result of the Big Ten championship game, but I can’t imagine it would be enough to change any of the big numbers below.
Here’s Louisville’s overall results page, where the Cards went 4-11 in Quadrant 1 games, 5-1 in Quad 2 games, and 11-1 (Boston College) in Quad 3⁄4 games:
Six computer rankings will appear on U of L’s team sheet. Here’s where the Cards sit in all of them:
NET: No. 22
Ken Pom: No. 18
Sagarin: No. 22
KPI: No. 31
Strength of Record: No. 25
BPI: No. 18
There has been some buzz that the committee won’t rely on the computer rankings when it comes to deciding which teams make the field, but that it will lean on them when it comes to seeding. That could be a good thing for Louisville, which sits in a spot in four of these rankings that would put it above its current projection of a 7-seed.
We’ll find out shortly.
