Louisville is a 5-point underdog at Virginia Tech

NCAA Basketball: North Carolina at Louisville Jamie Rhodes-USA TODAY Sports

Louisville opened as a 4-point underdog for its “Big Monday” showdown against Virginia Tech, a spread which has since moved to the Hokies -5. If that spread were to hold, it would be tied for the second-largest underdog the Cards have been in a game this season.

U of L is 3-5 as an underdog this season, with wins coming a 4.5-point dog against Michigan State, a 3.5-point dog against Seton Hall, and an 11-point dog against North Carolina.

Virginia Tech has won three straight games since a 103-82 loss to North Carolina on Jan. 21. On Saturday, the Hokies held NC State to 24 points, the lowest point total for any Division-I team this decade.
