Louisville will be wearing specialty uniforms for Saturday’s game against Clemson that will pay tribute to the Cardinals’ first Final Four squad from 1958-59. The uniforms will have features similar to the ones U of L wore during that season.

This year marks the 60th anniversary of that 1959 Final Four team. The Cardinals that season posted a 19-12 record while facing 10 teams ranked among the nation’s top 20. Louisville won seven of its last eight regular season games before a 77-63 victory over Eastern Kentucky in the first round of the NCAA tournament that sent them to the NCAA Mideast Regional in Evanston, Ill.
In Evanston, Louisville toppled second-ranked Kentucky 76-61 in the regional semifinal. In the regional final, the Cards took down No. 7 ranked Michigan State 88-81 to secure their first trip to a Final Four.
These unis are undeniably bas ass, but let the record show that Louisville is 14-0 this season in their normal white uniforms. If we lose Saturday, I think we’re gonna have to put a moratorium on specialty uniforms for the rest of the season.
I’m sure Adidas will understand. They owe us some room to maneuver at this point.
