Evaluation:
Diaby has the skills and ability to get on the field early. He has great size and plays with the motor of a guy that feels that he’s always been overlooked. It stands out to me that he still has his high school highlights pinned to his Hudl profile. He wants people to see just how good he was now that everyone is paying attention. Diaby has a quick burst at the snap and has plenty of speed to chase down plays. I think he has the potential to really turn into a high level player here as he gets in the weight room and improves his strength. Diaby has gone from a high school wide receiver to a high level defensive end with all the athleticism still there.
Summary:
Yaya is coming to Louisville as the third player from Georgia Military College. He joins Marvin Dallas and Trevor Reid in the 2020 class. Diaby was named a first team JUCO All-American earlier this month joining Reid on the team. The staff got in on him early but he became a national recruit and it was pretty obvious that he wanted some specific offers. As classes in the SEC filled up yesterday he seems to have felt that his best spot to get on the field early was his early favorite in Louisville.
