Evaluation:

I think that Peterson will be making a good move to the Card position. He has strong tackling skills in space and that should translate to college. I don’t know if he has good coverage skills but it’s not a great sign that he couldn’t find any plays in coverage for his highlights. There has been some talk of him being a safety when he gets here but I don’t know that they will make a change after this amount of time. Peterson has skills but it’s hard to know if he’s improved as a senior and just how well he will fit here.

Summary:

Peterson transferred to IMG after playing ball in North Carolina his first three years. He ended up not playing as much as he probably would have had he stayed home but IMG has facilities that are on par with some colleges as well as good competition within the team. Peterson spent his spring on a tour of sorts where he visited most of the schools that offered him. He pulled the trigger right after he took his trip to Louisville. Peterson seems like a redshirt candidate with Trennel Troutman practicing at Card and P.J. Blue potentially being an option there after he returns from his torn ACL.
