Scott Satterfield and his staff continued a nice mini-run in recruiting today when Jamie “Greedy” Vance announced his commitment to the Cards. Vance recently took an official visit for the Clemson game and he becomes one of the highest rated players in the 2020 class after making his commitment. Vance holds offers from Auburn, Mississippi State, Arkansas, Arizona State, and Virginia. He’s rated as a 3-star prospect in the 247 composite.

Vance reminds me very much of Tae Hayes and Clifton Duck who starred at App State for Bryan Brown. He’s listed at 5-10/168 but he has no issues tackling or taking down bigger guys. He also has long arms and a frame that can add the needed weight. What I really love is that he shows outstanding ball skills and comfortability when it comes to playing the ball in the air. Vance has 9 interceptions on the year with the state championship game to go.

Louisville is looking to finish strong in this 2020 recruiting class and Vance adds a much needed piece at cornerback. Louisville is looking to add a JUCO corner to be able to see the field early and that should finish off the secondary. Vance is the 25th member of the class and the class should finish around 28 players but I tend to think they could look to hit 29 total when it’s all said and done. Louisville has a handful of guys on campus this weekend that are still looking for a home. Here’s hoping that they can land those guys before signing day on Wednesday.
