Louisville basketball is a favorite, football is an underdog at Miami

It’s Miami week for Louisville football and basketball, and Vegas expects different results from the Cardinal teams making the trip South.

The U of L football team opened as a 7-point underdog for Saturday afternoon’s game inside Hard Rock Stadium, a line which has since been bet down to Miami -6. The Cards are 2-3 straight up as an underdog this season, upsetting Virginia and Wake Forest in two of their last three games.

On the other hand, the fifth-ranked Louisville men’s basketball team is a 7-point favorite for Tuesday night’s season-opener for both teams. The Cardinals are the preseason No. 5 team in both major polls, while Miami was picked to finish ninth in the ACC.
