In its final ACC game of the season, Louisville has opened an 8.5-point favorite over Syracuse. It’s the largest point spread in the direction of the Cards since they were a 10-point favorite against Western Kentucky back in September.
Louisville is 4-0 straight up as a betting favorite this season. Included in that total is last weekend’s 34-20 road win over NC State, a game Vegas pegged the Cards to win by four.
A win on Saturday would move U of L to 5-3 in conference play and ensure the Cards of at least a tie for second place in the ACC’s final Atlantic Division standings. Not bad for a team that was everyone’s pick to finish dead last in the division.
The Cards and Orange will kick things off at 4 p.m. inside Cardinal Stadium on Saturday. U of L will hold its Senior Day festivities before the game.
