Louisville football opened as a 9-point underdog for this Saturday’s game at beaten and 19th-ranked Wake Forest. The early money apparently came in hard on the Cards, because that line has quickly dropped to Wake -6.5.
After covering the spread just one time in 2018, U of L is 3-2 against the spread this season. They have failed to cover in each of their last two games, including Saturday’s 41-39 win over Boston College, a game Vegas had the Cards winning by four.
Coming off a bye week, Wake Forest finds itself unbeaten but still relatively untested. In their most recent game, the Demon Deacons also won a close contest against Boston College, holding off the Eagles by a final score of 27-24.
Louisville and Wake Forest will kick things off from Winston-Salem Saturday night at 7:30. The ACC Network will broadcast the contest.
