2018 Bowl Season Recap

We’re just a few days away from the National Championship, the final game of the 2018-2019 college football season. While I’m a bit distraught about having to wait until August to get my fix of college ball, this season was a spectacle of record-setting efficiency and high-scoring offenses that did not disappoint.

About a month ago, I wrote out the bowl season schedule and picked winners for each game. Overall, notwithstanding the National Championship, I finished 21-18. I’ve got Alabama winning it all so we’ll see if that number improves or declines, but I feel pretty confident that the Tide keeps it rolling and pushes my final record to 22-18. Not awful, but nothing to go around bragging about, either.

Most betters will tell you if you win more than you lose, that’s all that matters. If you had placed $100 on every game to this point according to my picks, you’d be up $300. We’ll see how the National Championship plays out, but regardless of the outcome, you’ll still be finishing with more money won than lost. Now, you’re not gonna put a kid through college on those winnings, but a couple of steak dinners and a nice bottle of wine? Compliments to the chef, Bon Appétit!
