Rivals bumps Louisville signee Samuell Williamson up to a 5-star

The future Card is now the No. 25 overall player in the class.

January’s been a big month for Louisville signee Samuell Williamson.

The Rockwall High School standout has continued to tear up the Texas basketball scene, averaging nearly 28.0 points per game, he’s been named as a McDonald’s All-American, and now he’s picked up his first five-star rating.

In its updated prospect rankings for the class of 2019, Rivals.com has moved Williamson up 10 spots from No. 35 to No. 25 and given him that fifth star. ESPN, the only other scouting service to update its rankings recently, has Williamson as the No. 33 overall player in the class of 2019 and a four-star prospect.

As for the other U of L signees, Rivals has Aidan Igiehon at No. 51, Jaelyn Withers at No. 82, David Johnson at No. 101, Josh Nickelberry at No. 107, and Quinn Slazinski outside the top 150.
