Denzel Daxon, a three-star defensive tackle from Miami-Carol City, flipped his commitment from Miami to Louisville over the weekend. Daxon is currently rated as the 46th best defensive tackle in the 2019 class by 247 Sports.

The 6’3, 315 pound Daxon de-committed from The U last week, citing a lack of communication between himself and the Hurricane coaching staff.

“I’ve been talking to Louisville’s coaches for a while, since I got the offer (last spring),” said Daxon. “I really like the d-line coach, the program and what they are building defensively.

“I can bring a lot to Louisville,” Daxon said. “Once I get there I’ll work hard. My main strength at this time is run stopping, but I’m developing my pass rush skills.”

Daxon is a native of The Bahamas who has only been playing football for a few years. His potential has still been enough to warrant offers from the likes of Florida, Georgia, Nebraska and Tennessee.

Daxon becomes the 11th Louisville commitment from the class of 2019.
