Bobby Petrino has a history of bringing in tall and rangy tight ends and he got another one today with a commitment from the 6-7, four-star Austin Griffin. Griffin has only been evaluated by the folks over at 247 but they felt comfortable putting him at the top of the list when it comes to JUCO tight ends. Griffin is also rated as the #10 overall JUCO prospect in the country.
Griffin only played in three games in his first JUCO season so there isn’t a lot to go on, but he did finish the year with 4 catches for 93 yards and 2 touchdowns. His size and speed should fit in very well with what Petrino has done historically with his tight ends.
Louisville now has 10 commits in this class and they should finish with about 16.
