Louisville baseball headed to Lubbock to start NCAA tournament

The Cards’ march back to Omaha begins Friday night against Kent State.

The Louisville baseball team’s quest for a return trip to the College World Series will begin in Lubbock. The Cards will be the No. 2 seed in the Lubbock Regional, headlined and hosted by the NCAA tournament’s No. 9 overall seed, Texas Tech.

U of L will open up play Friday night at 7 p.m. against No. 3 Kent State. After that, they’ll face either the Red Raiders or No. 4 seed New Mexico State.
