Macio Teague commits to Baylor

Another one.

NCAA Basketball: NC-Asheville at Kansas Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

Another one of Louisville’s top transfer targets is off the board.

A U of L visitor last weekend, Teague averaged 16.7 points and 4.4 rebounds as a sophomore last season for UNC Asheville. He’ll have to sit out the 2018-19 season per NCAA transfer rules, but will have two seasons of eligibility remaining after that.

The Big South freshman of the year in 2017 and a first-team all-conference selection last season, Teague had been one of the hottest names on the transfer market right now. In addition to Louisville and Baylor, the Cincinnati native was heavily pursued by Virginia, Oregon, Ohio State and Xavier.

The quest for a commitment continues.
