Geron Christian drafted 74th overall by Washington

Congrats to the big guy.

NCAA Football: Louisville at Houston Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

Geron Christian became the third Louisville player selected in the 2018 NFL Draft when Washington scooped the big man up with the 74th overall pick.

Christian, who like Lamar Jackson and Jaire Alexander left school after his junior season, was a three-year starter at U of L. He started all 39 games of his college career and earned all-ACC accolades in each of his three seasons as a Cardinal.

At 6’6, 315 pounds with quickness and agility you don’t typically see from someone size, Christian will likely be a “swing” tackle at the next level, although an effort could be made to play him at guard. He will link up with two former Cardinals in Washington, including head coach Jay Gruden and safety Josh Harvey-Clemons. Harvey-Clemons and Christian were teammates during the 2015 season.

Congrats to Geron.
