Coming off a career-high 20 points, Damion Lee is expected to sign a new contract that will keep him with the Atlanta Hawks for the rest of the 2017-18 season.

Lee had previously signed back-to-back 10-day contracts with the franchise.
In nine games with the Hawks, Lee is averaging 10.4 points and 4.1 rebounds over 26.2 minutes per game. That extended court time would seem likely to continue as the team is dealing with a rash of injuries.
Congrats to Damion. A very, very cool success story for a guy who really deserves to have one.
