In case you haven’t heard over the last couple of days, former Cardinal and current Utah Jazz rookie Donovan Mitchell and the 76ers Ben Simmons are in a bit of a disagreement about who the NBA’s Rookie of the Year is.
Well, the Don isn’t backing down. Check out what he wore before Tuesday night’s game against the Golden State Warriors.

You really can’t argue with that screen-printed definition.
The reason for Ben Simmons being considered for the ROTY award, despite being drafted back in 2016, is that he did not play a minute in his first season with the 76ers due to injury. Which doesn’t really make too much sense because whether he played or not, he’s still a second year player, and according to Don’s hoodie, does not qualify as a rookie.
Mitchell is currently helping lead the charge for the Jazz to make it in to the playoffs this year and is currently the team leader in points per game (20.5). He’s played in 77 games (starting 69 of them) and is averaging 33.5 minutes per game.
Among other former Cardinals helping lead their teams to the playoffs (which are set to begin this upcoming Saturday) are Terry Rozier of the Boston Celtics and Gorgui Dieng with the Minnesota Timberwolves. Terry just saw his playing time significantly increase with the announcement that All-Star guard Kyrie Irving is out for the rest of the season with a knee injury.
Update
Donovan further cements his case.
Per @utahjazz PR: That last 3-pointer by Donovan Mitchell gives him the most 3s in a season by any rookie (186). Damian Lillard had 185 as a rookie.
