The ACC released its individual awards for the 2017-18 men’s basketball season on Sunday, and Anas Mahmoud was one of five players named to the All-Defensive Team. Mahmoud was also second in the voting for the league’s Defensive Player of the Year, an honor which went to Virginia’s Isaiah Wilkins.aiah Wi
For the first time since Louisville joined the conference in 2014-15, no Cardinal players were named to the league’s first, second or third teams. Deng Adel and Ray Spalding both received honorable mention nods.
Duke’s Marvin Bagley was named both the ACC Rookie and Player of the Year. Virginia’s Tony Bennett ran away with Coach of the Year honors.
