How the ACC tournament would look if it started today

This wasn’t overly hard to work through since the imbalance in games played throughout the league standings has it existing without a whole bunch of ties at the present time. That’s probably not going to be the case in a week, and we’re likely all going to need to get a dramatic tune-up on our tiebreaker knowledge.

Heading into tonight’s slate of games, here’s how the ACC tournament looks:

First Round: Tuesday, March 6

Game 1: No. 13 Georgia Tech vs. No. 12 Notre Dame – 12 p.m.

Game 2: No. 15 Pittsburgh vs. No. 10 Boston College – 2 pm.

Game 3: No. 14 Wake Forest vs. No. 11 Florida State – 7 p.m.

Second Round: Wednesday, March 7

Game 4: No. 9 NC State vs. No. 8 Syracuse – 12 p.m.

Game 5: Winner of Game 1 vs. No. 5 Louisville – 2 p.m.

Game 6: Winner of Game 2 vs. No. 7 Miami – 7 p.m.

Game 7: Winner of Game 3 vs. No. 6 Virginia Tech – 9 p.m.

Quarterfinals: Thursday, March 8

Game 8: Winner of Game 4 vs. No. 1 Virginia – 12 p.m.

Game 9: Winner of Game 5 vs. No. 4 North Carolina – 2 p.m,

Game 10: Winner of Game 6 vs. No. 2 Clemson – 7 p.m.

Game 11: Winner of Game 7 vs. No. 3 Duke – 9 p.m.

Semifinals: Friday, March 9

Game 12: Winner of Game 8 vs. Winner of Game 9 – 7 p.m.

Game 13: Winner of Game 10 vs. Winner of Game 11 – 9 p.m.

Championship: Saturday, March 10

TBD – 8:30 p.m.

Obviously it’s going to take a considerable amount of work for Louisville to hang onto a top five spot, but here’s hoping the bracket looks at least somewhat similar two and a half weeks from now.
