For a couple days now, there have been multiple reports that Vince Tyra has been courting a “mystery coach” who “checks all the boxes” to become Louisville’s new head football coach.
On Monday morning, Football Scoop reported that Tyra was meeting with the mystery coach later in the day, and that it was interim Maryland head coach Matt Canada. That report has since been refuted by ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg.
#Louisville might have a mystery candidate involved besides Appalachian State’s Scott Satterfield, but it’s not Matt Canada, sources tell me. Probably not Dana Holgorsen either. Satterfield still the likely choice for the Cardinals and a decision should come very soon.
