Louisville parts ways with dance coach Todd Sharp

The Ladybirds, like so many other U of L programs, are about to undergo a coaching change.

The University of Louisville confirmed to multiple news outlets Monday night that Todd Sharp, coach of the Ladybirds dance team, has been let go.

Under Sharp’s direction, the Ladybirds have won won like 8 billion national championships (or 19), including 733 in a row (or 733). Sharp had also been the dance coach at Floyd Central High School, where he has reportedly stepped down. He became something of a national figure when he starred in “So Sharp,” a Lifetime reality show which chronicled the U of L dance team’s 2016-17 season.

No reason for Sharp’s dismissal has been given.

So it looks like Vince Tyra has yet another position to fill, and in my mind, there’s really only one person to call.

It’s a longshot, but you have to at least make the call. Make Teddy say “no” before offering the gig to anybody else.
