Louisville (12-6) will take on Tennessee (13-2-3) Friday at 5 p.m. in a first round match at Regal Soccer Stadium in Knoxville. The Volunteers are the No. 2 seed in the Palo Alto Quadrant. It’s the first time since 2007 that UT has been a national seed in this tournament.
The Cards are one of 10 ACC teams to make the women’s tournament, which is the most ever from a single conference. Florida State and North Carolina are two of the tournament’s four No. 1 seeds.
