Kentucky opened as a 17.5-point favorite over Louisville on Sunday, a line which quickly moved to the Wildcats -18.5.

This will mark the first time since 2011 that the Cardinals have gone into a Battle of the Bluegrass game as the underdog. In that year, true freshmen Teddy Bridgewater and DeVante Parker led U of L to a surprising 24-17 win in Lexington. In all, Louisville has won six of the last seven meetings in this series.

Saturday’s 52-10 loss to NC State moved Louisville to 1-10 on the season when it comes to covering the spread. The Cardinals are the only one of the 130 teams in the FBS that have failed to cover the spread more than once this season.

Louisville dominated Kentucky 44-17 in Lexington last season.
