Louisville basketball picked to finish 11th in ACC

The Louisville men’s basketball team has been picked to finish 11th in the ACC this season by the league’s media. It’s the lowest the Cards have been placed in the annual preseason media poll since they joined the conference in 2014.

Duke edged out Virginia as the media’s preseason favorite to win the league. North Carolina, Syracuse and Virginia Tech rounded out the top five.

As for individual honors, North Carolina senior Luke Maye is the media’s pick for ACC Preseason Player of the Year. No Louisville players received POY votes or were named to the conference’s preseason first or second teams.
