Pet Thamel of Yahoo! Sports is reporting that Boston College star running back AJ Dillon will miss the game today with an ankle injury. Dillon was injured two weeks ago and missed the Eagles’ game against NC State last week. He will be a huge loss for the offense as he ran for 272 yards and 4 touchdowns against the Cards last year.
All is not lost for BC as Ben Glines has played well with Dillon out, running for 210 yards over the last game and a half. They also have an improved passing game this year with Anthony Brown showing really good flashes as well as disappointing stretches.
While I always want to see UofL face a team at full strength, I’m sure the players are happy to hear that they won’t have to go against such a powerful back like Dillon after the Georgia Tech game last week.
