Another member of Louisville’s 2015 recruiting class has announced that he won’t be around for the 2018 season.
Junior wide receiver Traveon Samuel revealed on Twitter Friday afternoon that he will be transferring elsewhere for his senior season. Samuel has already earned his degree, which means he will be eligible to play immediately next season.

In 2017, Samuel -- who also served as Louisville’s primary kick returner — notched career-bests in receptions (21) and receiving yards (339). The only game this season where Samuel didn’t record an offensive statistic was the TaxSlayer Bowl.
The good news is wide receiver is without question Louisville’s deepest position. This won’t leave the same type of mark that some of the other departures will.
Best of luck to Traveon wherever he winds up finishing his college career.
