With the ACC releasing its complete schedule for the 2018 football season, we now know what Louisville’s full slate for next fall is going to look like.
Here it is:
Sept. 1: vs. Alabama (in Orlando)
Sept. 8: vs. Indiana State
Sept. 15: vs. Western Kentucky
Sept. 22: at Virginia
Sept. 29: vs. Florida State
Oct. 5 (Friday): vs. Georgia Tech
Oct. 13: at Boston College
Oct. 20: Bye.
Oct. 27: vs. Wake Forest
Nov. 3: at Clemson
Nov. 9 (Friday): at Syracuse
Nov. 17: vs. NC State
Nov. 24: vs. Kentucky
Real quick thoughts:
—This is going to be one of the most challenging schedules Louisville football has seen, and it’s made even more difficult with the short weeks after both Florida State and Clemson. Facing Georgia Tech’s triple option attack on short rest feels especially unfair.
—I’ve been to Clemson in September and October and it hasn’t worked, so let’s see if November is more friendly.
—At least the bye is sandwiched in the middle of the season this year.
—Have we ever played in the Carrier Dome on a Saturday besides the year where they handed us our first loss. Feels like that game is perennially on a Friday.
