For the second straight time, Louisville’s Asia Durr has been named the ACC Player of the Week. It’s the third time this season that the Cardinal guard has picked up the honor.
Durr earned her third ACC Player of the Week honor after scoring a game-high 36 points on 13-of-18 shooting, including an impressive 8-of-10 from 3-point range, in the Cardinals’ 100-67 victory over No. 2 Notre Dame. She got off to a hot start, scoring 11 points in the first quarter, going 4-of-5 from the floor and 3-of-4 from beyond the arc. She also dished out four assists, while pulling down three rebounds in 33 minutes of action. Durr has scored 30-or-more points in four games this season and leads the league in scoring with 21.1 points per game.
Durr was also named the national player of the week by ESPN on Monday.
How good were the Cards last week? So good that another player besides Durr was named ACC player of the week. Teammate Myisha Hines-Allen, who dropped 31 points in the win over Notre Dame, picked up the honor via College Sports Madness.
