Spectrum Sports is in the process of producing a feature on Brian Brohm and Michael Bush. It will highlight both the famous 2002 state championship game between the stars, and how they would go on to change the face of U of L football.
One thing it will also detail is how Bush, who came to Louisville to play quarterback, wasn’t exactly thrilled when Brohm announced he would be playing for the Cardinals as well. In fact, Bush initially decided that he wanted to transfer to Ohio State.
After a sit down with his parents and head coach Bobby Petrino, it was agreed that he would spend the rest of his college career playing running back.
“I don’t regret it,” Bush says of the move from quarterback to running back. “But it’s one of those things where if I’d known I’d be playing running back (in college), I would have stuck with basketball. You’d always like to see how things would have turned out, but I don’t lose any sleep over it.”
