Several months ago I mentioned both on here and on the radio that I was working on a book that was going to be published in the fall of 2017. Well, that project is now completed and I’m excited to share the details with you.
100 Things Louisville Fans Should Know & Do Before They Die isn’t quite Card Chronicle in book form, but a lot of the same elements are there. Each chapter is a story about a person or an event or an activity that has defined Louisville sports. There are things included that I knew nothing about before I started researching, and there are stories from some of the key figures associated with U of L athletics that I know haven’t been told anywhere else. There’s also fun CC-esque stuff in there like the legend of Juan Palacios’ goggles and a full breakdown of the old curse of the black uniforms.
This is also — and I can guarantee this — the only book ever published that includes the story of Howard Schnellenberger cussing out Mick Jagger ... and also not knowing who Mick Jagger was.

Yes, that is purposefully a Preston Knowles jersey on the cover.
Rick Pitino wrote a pretty bad ass foreword for the book, so even if you think I suck there’s a reason to check it out.
The book officially hits stores on Oct. 15, but it’s now available for pre-order pretty much anywhere you can buy books. That includes:
Amazon (in four different forms)
I’ll have more info on this the closer we get to the actual publication date, but I wanted you guys to get the pre-order deets first because you all are the reason this was able to happen.
Thank you, and I hope you enjoy the read.
