Mark your calendars. The annual Louisville-Kentucky men’s basketball game will be played this year on Friday, Dec. 29. CBS will have coverage of the game, which does not have a tip-off time yet.
The announcement of the game time and television slot was revealed when Kentucky released its official non-conference schedule for the 2017-18 season Tuesday afternoon.
A year ago, the Cards and Cats battled it out before Christmas and on a weeknight for the first time in over a decade. Louisville won, 73-70.
With the 29th being a weeknight and not a holiday, you’d hope that the game would take place in the evening. That might not happen.
CBS carries the Sun Bowl at 3:00 p.m. EST on Dec. 29, meaning the Kentucky-Louisville game will probably tipoff between noon and 1 p.m. EST.

That’s different, but it was also different a year ago, and things worked out just fine.
A Friday Battle of the Bluegrass. Let’s get wild.
