Louisville was awarded one of the sixteen regional sites for the NCAA Baseball Tournament next weekend

The Cardinals will have the advantage of playing in front of a home crowd next week.

The NCAA announced Sunday evening that there will be a Louisville Regional during next week’s tournament. Despite being knocked out of the ACC tournament by Florida State, the Cardinals overall successful season has landed them the opportunity to play in front of their home crowd and will likely have a top seed heading into next week.

The Cards (47-10) were the top seed in this past week’s ACC Tournament at Slugger Field, but were knocked out in pool play by the eventual ACC Champion Florida State.

The full bracket of 64 teams and their seeds will be announced Monday at noon during the selections show, which you can catch on ESPN 2.
