Shaq Wiggins will return to the SEC.
He announced today that he will finish out his career at the University of Tennessee.
I have made my decision and I will continue to finish my career at the University of Tennessee !!!!!— Shaquille Wiggins (@ShaqWiggins6) April 26, 2017
He announced last month his intent to play elsewhere for his final season of college eligibility.
Wiggins will leave Louisville with 38 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions, and broke up 14 passes. Wiggins transferred in to the Louisville program from the University of Georgia, following his former defensive coordinator Todd Grantham. Due to injuries and the emergence of star defensive back Jaire Alexander, Wiggins had a hard to finding much playing in 2016. As he earned his bachelor’s degree from Louisville, he will be able to play immediately for Butch Jones, per the NCAA grad transfer rules.
Good luck to Shaq in Knoxville.
