That's Sharon Bensinger holding it down by the Virgin River in Zion National Park, Utah.

The Cards play at Eastern Kentucky this afternoon at 3.

I_medium Louisville stays at No. 2 in the latest top 25.

I_medium The Cards are also No. 2 in the new coaches' poll.

I_medium This is a good tweet.

I_medium Yesterday was Tobiah Hopper's 40th birthday. I hope you all celebrated by wearing an oversized undershirt and surprising everyone around you by burying a corner three.

I_medium Former Cards Will Smith and Drew Harrington both make the MLB Pipeline Team of the Week.

C: Will Smith , Rancho Cucamonga Quakes (Class A Advanced)
(Dodgers' No. 14 prospect)
7 G, .440/.548/.920, 4 R, 3 2B, 3 HR, 6 RBIs, 5 BB, 5 K, 4 SB

Smith tallied a hit in all seven games last week for the Quakes, with six of his 11 hits going for extra bases. Three of those hits were home runs, largely thanks to his first career multihomer game on Sunday, and he also stole four bases in as many attempts. And though he started a majority of his games behind the plate, Smith started two games at second base, as well as one at the hot corner.

LHP: Drew Harrington, Columbia Fire Frogs (Class A Advanced)
(Braves' No. 25 prospect)
1-0, 0.00 ERA, 2 GS, 12 IP, 9 H, 2 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 8 K, 0.83 WHIP

After struggling in his second start for the Fire Frogs (6 ER on 12 H in 4 1/3 innings), Harrington worked 12 innings without allowing an earned run last week to lower his ERA to 2.42 through four turns. The 22-year-old lefty was particularly sharp on Sunday, tossing seven frames of three-hit ball with three strikeouts against Clearwater.

Smith was also named the California League Player of the Week on Monday.

I_medium Terry is single-handedly bringing the Celtics back.

Everyone's saying it.

I'm saying it.

I_medium Former Maryland star Juan Dixon has been named the new head coach at Coppin State.

I_medium Kentucky is losing more points per game from this season's team than 324 of the 351 Division-I teams averaged last season. They also might be losing the first "none and done" player in college hoops history.

I_medium I don't know anything about this kid, but his name is Akok Akok and so we need him.

I_medium Western Kentucky has left Russell Athletic in favor of Nike. This leaves Southern Mississippi as the only Russell Athletic school in the FBS.

I_medium College basketball is likely going to move its opening day to the Tuesday before the second Friday in November -- a day where there are no college or NFL football games to compete with. Coaches are in favor of the move.

I_medium The new SB Nation mock NBA Draft has Donovan going to the Jazz, which seems to be a popular prediction at the moment.

24. Utah Jazz — Donovan Mitchell, SG, Louisville

If Mitchell decides to go back to school, he could vault Louisville to the top five in the preseason polls. There's also the chance some team falls in love with his elite athleticism at the draft combine and he gets a spot in the late first.

I_medium An ESPN writer spent a day finding out what life is like as an SEC referee.

I_medium A Louisville duo broke a bowling world record.

I_medium I love this video.

I_medium This isn't the first time in recent memory that Miami has had a lot of hype coming out of spring practice. Is it justified this go-round?

I_medium Dez's time has arrived.

I_medium Jim Host writes an op-ed for the Herald-Leader to say that the Yum Center arena deal benefits, not burdens, taxpayers.

I_medium Mark Stoops on the criticism over him giving out rings for beating Louisville and losing to Georgia Tech in the TaxSlayer Bowl: "I don't give a crap."

I_medium Second Stride does great things and this is a very worthy cause.

I_medium This is a great profile of Steve Kerr.

I_medium U of L field hockey has named its team captains for the 2017 season.

I_medium If this guy doesn't call himself Mangok's "Mathiangent" then ... well then I'll just say that Mangok made the wrong call here.

I_medium Trinity basketball standout David Johnson (2019) has been offered by Louisville.

I_medium Eric Wood is throwing together a Derby Eve party that will benefit the Eric Wood Fund. More information is here.

I_medium This is parenting/grandparenting done perfectly.

I_medium The U of L softball team dropped all three against No. 2 Florida State. The Seminoles are 20-0 in ACC play.

I_medium The Hartford Courant covers Steven Enoch's transfer to Louisville.

I_medium You certainly are, buddy.

I_medium Awful news out of South Florida, where the father of Florida State wide receiver Travis Rudolph was shot and killed.

I_medium Louisville has expressed interest in Wright State grad transfer Mark Alstork, a 6'5 guard who averaged 19.0 points per game last season.

I_medium And finally, Louisville lacrosse celebrated Senior Day with an upset of seventh-ranked Syracuse.
