KFC Yum Center to host a regional round of the NCAA tournament in 2019

The tournament is returning to the Derby City.

The NCAA tournament will return to Louisville in 2019.

The KFC Yum Center will be the site for a regional round on March 28th and 30th in 2019. The NCAA announced future cities and sites as hosts for championship sites from the 2017-18 season to 2021-22.

Other events that Louisville will play host to will be the men’s golf regional (May 12-15 in 2019) and the women’s gold regional (May 10-12, 2020), cross country regional for both men and women (November 13, 2020), and women’s field hockey championship (November 16-18, 2018).

Other notable sites that will play host to the NCAA tournament is Rupp Arena and U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati. The first and second round games will be played at Rupp on March 19th and 21st in 2021 while the following year the same round of games will be played in Cincinnati in 2022, the first time an NCAA tournament game has been played there in 30 years.
