Last Saturday’s annual spring football game was not allowed to be aired on television. In fact, all media was prohibited from shooting video of the scrimmage between the Red and White teams. Not going to be kicked to the curb so easily, WLKY got creative and improvised their coverage of the game for their Sports Saturday.

Gotta love the sense of humor.
Despite splitting up the two teams to try and make them more evenly matched, the Red team (who had Lamar Jackson) dominated 52-7. The most notable performer was redshirt-freshman Dez Fitzpatrick, who caught 9 passes for 176 yards and two touchdowns. Bonnafon, who is making the switch from receiver to running back, rushed 11 times for 48 yards and a touchdown.
Jawon Pass started opposite of Jackson. Pass threw four interceptions in the game, one of which was returned 87 yards for a touchdown by junior Jaire Alexander. Despite the interceptions, head coach Bobby Petrino said he was pleased with what he saw out of Pass, who made good reads and knew all of the plays.
Only five more months until real football.
