ESPN released its final individual rankings for the basketball class of 2017 on Tuesday, and Louisville signee Malik Williams will head to college as a five-star recruit. The 6’11, 215-pound forward from Fort Wayne is rated as the No. 27 overall player in the class.

A finalist for Mr. Basketball in the state of Indiana, Williams averaged 21.5 points, 12.5 rebounds and 4.0 blocked shots in his final season of high school ball. He also showcased his versatility by shooting 36 percent (44-of-122) from three-point range.

Fellow Cardinal signees Jordan Nwora and Darius Perry also received some love from the worldwide leader. Both players are rated as four-star prospects, with Perry checking in at No. 51 in the class and Nwora at No. 52.

The fourth member of U of L’s 2017 recruiting class, forward Lance Thomas, does not appear in ESPN’s final top 100 ranking.
