After sitting out Louisville’s 2017 spring game, quarterback Kyle Bolin announced Saturday night that he will be transferring out of the Cardinal football program for his final season.

Bolin posted the following note on his Instagram page:

Bolin started six games in his three seasons at Louisville, including U of L’s Belk Bowl game against Georgia in 2014 and the Cardinals’ games against Clemson, Syracuse, Virginia, Pitt and Kentucky in 2015. For his U of L career, Bolin threw for 2,104 yards and 13 touchdowns.

Best of luck to Kyle moving forward. He’ll always be remembered by Cardinal fans as the consummate teammate, and for one of the most sensational and unexpected performances in the history of the rivalry series against Kentucky. He’ll be missed here.
