With North Carolina’s victory over Duke Saturday night, the bracket for the 2017 ACC Tournament in Brooklyn has now been set.

Just as the case was in their only other ACC Tournament appearance, Louisville will be the No. 4 seed and will open tournament play on Thursday at 2 p.m. (more like 2:30). The Cards will face either No. 5 seed Duke, No. 12 seed Clemson or No. 13 NC State.

Ok, so having to play Duke and North Carolina on back-to-back days (hopefully) isn’t exactly ideal, but if you’re going to win your first ACC Tournament, may as well go through the two biggest names, right? Right? I’m trying here.

The Thursday afternoon start time also isn’t ideal, but let’s just view this as practice for the opening weekend of the tournament. Sacrifices have to be made, commitments have to be broken, family members have to be left ignored. That’s the way this city works in March.

Let’s get it.
