Lamar Jackson finishes third in 2017 Heisman Trophy voting

Despite putting up overall numbers that were better than the totals he posted as the 2016 Heisman Trophy winner, Lamar Jackson finished third in the voting for college sports’ highest individual honor in 2017.

Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield took home top honors, with Stanford running back Bryce Love finishing in second.

Lamar also finished third in every region of the U.S.

Mayfield’s percentage of potential votes earned was the third-best in Heisman history.

Congrats to Mayfield. Lamar Jackson is still the best player in college football.
