HOT TAKE ALERT: Louisville WBB is a better team when Asia Durr and Arica Carter are playing. Unfortunately that was not the case this afternoon against Air Force. Asia sat out with back spasms and Arica had a boot on her foot. With those two starters not on the floor the Cards shot a whopping 0% from the 3-point line.
After the game Coach Walz was on fire about his team’s effort. He said, “It was a poor basketball game. I can’t make excuses. It was the worst game in my 11 years. We were not focused. We had a few players who were already [mentally] at the airport to see their friends and family and it won’t do. With Asia and AC not playing they had the opportunity to show me that they want more minutes and today they did the opposite—they showed me why I should not play them.”

Myisha Hines-Allen led the team with 16 points and 8 rebounds. Kylee Shook, playing in her hometown, grabbed 13 rebounds. Dana Evans added 14 points.
Louisville’s next game is on the road against Georgia Tech on Dec. 28th. Coach Walz has asked fans driving to the bowl game in Jacksonville to leave a day early and catch the game on the way down. It’s at 7pm and will also be available on ACC Network Extra.
