Louisville WBB has not won in Memorial Coliseum since 1979, and for one quarter of play the Cards made Kentucky believe they stood a chance of keeping that streak alive. The score was 23-16 going into the 2nd quarter, but Louisville took a 47-25 lead into halftime and never looked back.

Louisville had two players with double-doubles: Dana Evans (11pts, 11asst) and Sam Fuehring (10 pts, 10 reb). Asia Durr had another hot shooting night and finished with 32. Myisha Hines-Allen was a fierce presence underneath and had 18 points and 9 rebounds.
Great team win at Kentucky. Proud of these two...18 assists between them. @_ChasinqMyDream @aricuuuh pic.twitter.com/gYNP7oKrgU

After the game Coach Walz said that he was really pleased with his team’s effort. He said, “The 2nd quarter the difference was defense. It took a 7 point lead to 22.” He also said that Dana Evans came in and “gave us a big lift” when Jazmine Jones left the game early with foul trouble. Kentucky has been out-rebounding teams so that was a point of emphasis. Coach Walz said, “The first play [Sam Fuehring] comes up with an offensive rebound and a put back. She set the tone that this is what we’re gonna do.”
@UofLWBB still hasn't punted.
