Louisville men’s soccer earns No. 4 overall seed for NCAA tournament

Let’s go get a national title.

For the second straight season, the Louisville men’s soccer team is the No. 4 overall seed for the NCAA tournament.

U of L has a bye for the first round of the tournament. The Cardinals will host either San Francisco or California in a second round match on Nov. 19.

Here’s the complete tournament bracket:

Louisville enters the NCAA tournament with an overall record of 11-2-4. Most recently, the Cards fell to Virginia on penalty kicks in the quarterfinals of the ACC tournament.

A year ago, the fourth-seeded Cardinals knocked off UCLA and Notre Dame before falling to eventual national champion Stanford in the Elite Eight.

Ken Lolla and company have been flirting with a national title for a while now. Let’s bring one back to the Derby City for the first time.
