Louisville basketball No. 16 in preseason AP poll

Despite all their off-the-court issues and on-the-court question marks, the Louisville men’s basketball team will start the 2017-18 season ranked No. 16 in the preseason Associated Press top 25.

The Cards were also No. 16 in the preseason USA Today coaches poll, which was released last month. As was also the case with the coaches poll, Louisville finds itself sandwiched in between Richard Pitino’s Minnesota Golden Gophers and Chris Mack’s Xavier Musketeers.
