Louisville football recruiting took another hit just days before National Signing Day as Ben Hutch, a composite 3-star defensive tackle from Nashville, Tennessee, has flipped his pledge from the Cardinals to the Cincinnati Bearcats.

Hutch committed to Louisville early in December despite having offers from some big names, most notably in-state power Tennessee. It looked like it was a real lock that Hutch would become a Cardinal, as he took two official visits to campus on January 14th and January 21st. However, after visiting Cincinnati this past weekend, it looks like the Bearcats were able to convince Hutch to change his decision.
This is another tough hit to Louisville’s 2017 class, as it is the second de-commitment in a week when Jabreel Stephens announced his intentions to play elsewhere. Currently, the Cardinals class has 21 commitments and is ranked 30th in the nation in the composite rankings.
Best of Luck to Ben at Cincinnati, and lets hope Petrino can close things out with National Signing Day just days away.
